Wilkerson Here:  Making sense of what is going on around the world can be paralyzing and such that we just ignore it all.  I am reminded that we must live in the world but not be of the world.  Came across this verse in my surfing of scripture as I am listening to what has happened in Libya.  Eph 5:15 “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”  Enjoy tomorrow when as believers,  all over the world, we will humble ourselves before the Almighty.

Swam my 18 lengths this morning and ran 3 miles.  Didn’t have the pull buoy with me so it was harder.  I am reading about all the Mark’s training.  We are not world class athletes but we are training to turn in a good result.  Knowing what your contributions will mean to the people of Haiti will inspire us to do our best.  KEEP THOSE CONTRIBUTIONS AND PLEDGES COMING.  Get you friends involved.  A little from us all is the key.

Wilkerson Here:  I am always amazed how stories connect people.  Facts have their place and facts presented in stories makes principles easy to remember.  I needed a way to prepare people for a message that was not going to be easy to hear.  I was able to start with a story from scripture about the sower and the soil    (Matt 13).  Telling a story of the bible had great application as to how we prepare ourselves for daily life not just our Church life.  I find more and more application of scripture into all aspects of life the longer I live.  You will, too.

Rest day today.   Needed it.  It is possible to over-train.

Wilkerson Here:  I like passionate people .  I was just listening to a discussion on men who show emotion.  Some pro some con.  I remember a book called “Switch” .  The central theme is getting people to change.  The authors put forth that there are two parts of a person or group.   The example used is an elephant and rider.  The rider is our rational person who tries to steer and control the very large elephant or our emotions.  Passionate people seem to just steer the elephant toward its emotions.  Seems to me when rational thinking and emotions are lined up it is powerful.  I am an emotional person, sometimes when things line up, it is humbling and the feeling of joy is overwhelming.  Sometimes when talking about things close to my heart, the sheer importance of the subject can be overwhelming.  I know one thing, while I would prefer not to show emotion pubically, I wouldn’t kn0w how to live without it.  Fuels me!  I am passionate about helping the efforts of North West Haiti Christian Mission.  Those passionate people are giving of their lives for the people of Haiti, they deserve our support.  PLEDGE NOW!

Training Prep:  Trained on all three events for the triathlon this morning early.  Swam (did the full distance without stopping), Biked (spinning) for 45 minutes and ran for 15 minutes.  Wew!   Fun to accomplish the work.  Best part is starting and finishing.  Gives me energy.

Wilkerson Here:  Heard on K Love radio that today that it was 3/16 and to pass it on.

John 3:16    “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  It is the perfect plan, if you want to know more, post a comment letting me know and I will help you or help you find someone close to talk to about “the plan”.

Wilkerson Here:  Exchanging the truth about God for a lie (Romans 1:25) is not a good thing to do.  With so much being said on God’s behalf it can be confusing day by day if we listen to the voice of man and do not put it against what we read in scripture, God’s word.  Going to the Bible for leadership and understanding is where we should get our facts.  Faith in God to reveal what he wants us to know is better than relying on another person no matter how cool they seem.  It is good to think on all the aspects of life and the Lord, it is far better to do something with what we know.  Mark Twain was quoted to have said, “it’s not what we don’t know about the Bible that should bother us, it’s what we do know”.

Didn’t get a workout in yesterday.  Work schedule is really tight and has been so all year.  Got up early this morning and rode the bike for an hour.  Pretty good duty while catching up on the news.
