Another group taking what they would do anyway but re purposing it for the Mission.  Savannah Team Endurance will hold two race events this year to support NWHCM’s ministries in Mole St. Nicholas. The first, a duathlon and 5k trail run, will be held March 19 in Savannah to raise funds to send a short-term mission team to Mole St. Nicholas in May.  The second event, a triathlon called “Tri the Farm,” will be held on May 7 to support various projects in Mole St. Nicholas and surrounding areas, including clean water projects and efforts to repair fishing boats that were destroyed during tropical storms in 2010.  All events will be held at The Farm at Morgan Lakes, a community in Pooler, GA, near Savannah. This will be the second “Tri the Farm” event organized by Savannah FCA Endurance. In May 2010, the group raised funds to help build a cistern for clean drinking water in the fishing village of Karenage, near Mole St. Nicholas.  COOL!  Learn more by visiting the FCA Endurance website, www.fcasave.com.

Training Prep:

Took the day off.  An unexpected trip late in the day so will shift work to tomorrow.  Tomorrow was the usual day off, so weights tomorrow and might even get in a swim.

Spiritual Prep:

Having mission statement is something all businesses are taught to express as a directional reminder.  Caused me to create a personal statement of my own.  My mission is to be an uncommon resource, producing uncommon results through uncommon relationships in and through Jesus Christ.  Not sure it is the same as my purpose but it gives me a place to check in if I feel I am wandering.

Training Prep:

Did a swim tonight.  18 laps on a 25 meter pool.  Got a little better at it this time.  There is a rhythm to it all and an ease required.  Was better than the last time.   Will keep building.  Have to do the 18 laps and not stop.  That seems so far away right now.

Missed last night because I had trouble with the Internet so 2 posts today.  Was taken to dinner last night with some of the team to celebrate good work and outcomes last year.  It was nice to take time to just relax and enjoy what had already been done and counted.  It is a new day with new challenges but not taking time to enjoy is to forget and always find yourself in a fire drill.  Sundays are great days to celebrate with one another what God did for us and to organize what we will do for others because of His gift.  A friend of mine was in his devotional time this morning reading Hebrews 2:6, “who is mankind that You are mindful of them”.  In light of this, take a moment everyday to celebrate and enjoy that God is mindful of us.

Look at the date.  On one hand I say, where has the first two months gone and on the other, is it May yet–Go figure.  I do feel that I am living in the minute, just didn’t know I would have to pack so much into each one.  The 23rd Psalm comes to mind.  God restores my soul.  I now can go on!
