Good morning everyone and welcome back to the work week!

I am very thankful this morning to wake up to the news that the presidential elections of Haiti went off with relative peace.  This is a bright spot in a country that has endured so much in the past year.  Elections in Haiti are rarely peaceful and rarely do they go off without a problem.  

In terms of running, I will be running about 6 miles today on the roads and I am praying that my shins don’t start hurting again.  I have dealt with numerous stress fractures to both of my shins and I have been experiencing minor pains and aches in the spots that have provided me with trouble.    I took off over the weekend to let them heal a bit in hopes that this time off will have subdued any inflammation.
